1. BASIC NEEDS ALLOWANCE (BNA) SCREENING PROCESS TRAINING. Join ASA (M&RA), DCS, G-9 and G-1 to learn how to screen Soldiers on BNA eligibility on August 8, 2023 from 0900-1030 EST and August 15, 2023 from 1900-2030 EST. Installation Human Resource Officers (HROs) and Unit Commanders must screen Soldiers for eligibility. Representatives will show how to build a Personnel Action Request in IPPS-A and utilize applicable tools and substantiating documents (i.e., the Unit Commander’s Financial Report, Leave and Earnings Statement, IPPS-A, calculator, etc.) to assist with the screening process. From HRC Enlisted Promotions: During a recent inquiry from the field, it was discovered Soldiers are erroneously receiving promotion points for the MCRDCC – USA, which represents the course name "NUCLEAR BIO CHEM DEF CRS" which is a Troop School. 3. Army Leader Exchange (ALx) provides professional development content to help steward the Army profession by engaging and informing leaders via our monthly bulletin and social media platforms. The July bulletin was recently published and highlights our most viewed and liked articles and resources. 4. IPPS-A ITEMS.      a. IPPS-A JOB AID: ABSENCE ANALYTICS. This Job Aid assists in orienting and executing in the Absence Analytics tile. The Absence Analytics tile is powered by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics platform that delivers a full range of capabilities. The Absence Analytics tile allows HR Professionals access to the “Data Warehouse” with the ability to capture a unit’s absence data on generally a six-hour delay. 5. IPPS-A QUESTIONS. (Please assist if you can.)      a. CI ERRORS IN UNIT SLOTTING. “I am trying to correct many of the conversion errors in slotting. Every attempt so far today has returned "CI errors" without any further explanation. Does anyone know a workaround or what data I should be looking at to fix?”      b. TECH ISSUE? IPPS-A NOT REFLECTING ACTIONS. “IPPS-A is not displaying pars created by S1 for the soldier on his end and actions completed from Pars not reflecting on STP. Is there a fix or is it a bigger issue?”      c. STUCK PAR. “When a Service Member PCS's and their PAR is not completed that PAR gets stuck in the HR approval box. Is there a way to delete that PAR?” 6. BRANCH/COMMAND ITEMS.      a. Ft. LIBERTY SPECIAL MISSIONS UNIT (SMU) SUPPORT ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION (A&S) FOR OCTOBER 2023. This message announces a change to the authority to award the MSM, ARCOM, and AAM to foreign military personnel assigned or attached to Army commands in the rank comparable to COL (O-6) and below. The revision to AR 600-8-22, currently in staffing, changes Table 1-2 Note 4 to read: "Effective 1 September 2022, the ASA (M&RA) authorized General Officers in Command positions permanent awards approval authority to award the MSM, ARCOM, and AAM to foreign military personnel assigned or attached to the command in the rank comparable to COL (O-6) and below." This change is effective as of 1 September 2022 and units can begin operating under that guidance immediately.      b. MILPER MESSAGE 23-288, UNITED STATES ARMY WARRANT OFFICER SELECTION BOARD RESULTS, JULY 2023, ISSUED: [7/26/2023 9:18:07 AM].      c.
