1. CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT THE ARMY TALKS TO RETIRED SOLDIERS ABOUT? From Army Retirement Services:  Read the Army's quarterly newsletter for its 1,000,000 Retired Soldiers. The August edition is posted on the Soldier for Life website, on S1NET at the following link, or download the Army Echoes app to your phone and read it there. That app stores two years of Army Echoes and provides access to many helpful resources for Retired Soldiers. 2. Regular Army Soldiers: The Functional Management Division (FMD) is looking for HR and Finance Officers that are technically proficient in their field as well as Branch Immaterial Officers with a background in data warehousing, coding, or interest in talent management. We are also in search of NCOs: 42A SSG-MSG with BDE/BN S1 or G1 experience, 36B with MILPAY experience, and/or NCOs with data analytics or software development experience.       b. US Army Reserve Soldiers: The IPPS-A Reserve Liaison Team is seeking TPU officers with strong data analytics, software development, coding, or data warehousing experience. Military pay experience a plus.       c. Army National Guard Soldiers: The ARNG is seeking Soldiers with strong functional and technical HR background at all echelons from unit to State.  Additional experience with MILPAY and G3 systems and processes is preferred. Civilian experience with PeopleSoft, data warehousing, database administration, and software development is also desired.  3. From HRC Enlisted Promotions: HRC Enlisted Promotions has provided the attached (at following link) course list to inform Soldiers of those courses which are valid for points at 4 points per week (40 hours). 5. CHANGE TO RESIDENT MILITARY EDUCATION YES LIST – SLZ - COMBAT LIFE SAVER COURSE. During a recent inquiry from the field, it was discovered Soldiers are erroneously receiving promotion points for the MCRDCC – SLZ, which represents the course name "COMBAT LIFE SAVER COURSE" which is a Troop School.  In accordance with DA PAM 600–8–104, Dated: 12 February 2015, Chapter 5, Paragraph 5-16, c (3) (c) 2, Troop Schools do not meet the criteria for posting on the Soldier’s record. Visit the following link for more information. 6. IPPS-A ITEMS.      a. RECENT ENHANCEMENT (WORKFLOW FOR PARs). IPPS-A has completed an enhancement that now allows you to remove personnel from the Workflow that may have been added by mistake. This enhancement was added on 8 SEP. Any PAR created after that date will allow the deletion of personnel from the Workflow. It can be seen by visiting the Monitor Approvals page. The RED "minus sign" is what you are looking for.      b. KNOWN ISSUE: DUTY STATUS NOT CHANGING AFTER RETURN. I know some of you have inquired about way are duty status not updating after return from absence, TDY, TCS, or etc.... The issue has an has been captured and is now being worked. The Estimated Release Date (ERD) is 5 OCT.      c. IPPS-A JOB AID: JOB DATA INFORMATION. This job aid assists HR Professionals with HR System Admin Subcategory (SUBCAT) in several aspects of viewing and modifying a Member’s Job Data record. 7. IPPS-A QUESTIONS.
