message is to announce the expansion of the Global War on Terrorism
Expeditionary Medal area of eligibility for Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
Operations JUNIPER SHIELD, OCTAVE SHIELD, and SPARTAN SHIELD are deemed
to be suboperations of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM for award of the
Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (GWOT-EM).
