DEFENSE ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE SURVEY VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION, 6 SEP
24. Memo from ASA M&RA SAMR-EI:  The Defense Organizational Climate
Survey (DEOCS) is an essential tool designed to support the U.S. Army’s
efforts in enhancing unit readiness and improving command climate.
Developed by the Office of People Analytics (OPA) in collaboration with
the Office of Force Resiliency (OFR), the DEOCS is a Congressionally
mandated survey administered at the unit level. Its primary purpose is
to collect comprehensive data on various aspects of organizational
climate, including harassment, discrimination, sexual harassment, and
sexual assault. During the DEOCS annual fielding window, from August 1st
through November 30th, you (every Soldier and DA Civilian employee)
will receive an email with a link from the Office of People Analytics
(OPA) inviting you to complete the DEOCS online. This survey includes
questions about unit cohesion, leadership, morale, and work-life
balance. While participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, your
feedback is crucial for assessing the current climate within your unit
or organization.
