1. This MILPER message will expire no later than (NLT) 17 Mar 26.
2. Policy:
a.
Merit Based Promotions’ pursuant to Title 10, U.S.C. Section 616(h),
the board may be authorized to recommend officers of particular merit
from those officers recommended for promotion, to be placed higher on
the promotion list. This authority allows the Army to recognize and
reward personnel based on their performance and potential.
b.
Opting Out of promotion consideration for this MAJ board is authorized.
HRC has published the eligibility criteria and administrative
instructions for CPTs requesting to Defer Promotion Consideration
(Opt-Out) from this board, within MILPER Message 25-050, issued 7 Feb
25.
c. The selection board will convene on or about 18 Jun 25 to
consider eligible CPTs on the Active Duty List (ADL) for promotion to
MAJ. The board will recess on or about 11 Jul 25. Officers eligible
