1. This message will expire not later than (NLT) 22 June 2027.
2. This message announces the promotion sequence numbers for July 2026. S-1s will review current promotion lists and sequence numbers to determine whether selected officers are fully eligible. If the S-1 identifies an officer who is not eligible for promotion (e.g., flagged or separated) but receives a promotion order or identifies an officer who is eligible and did not receive an order, contact HRC, Promotions Branch List Management.
3. Officer promotion lists for ceremonies will be available on the S1NET SharePoint and the HRC Officer Promotions information site o/a 23 June 2026. IPPS-A changes the way an officer receives their promotion order. An order is not generated in IPPS-A until the effective date of promotion if all eligibility is met. Therefore, ceremony lists for officer promotions will continue to be posted on the above sites to provide units visibility of projected promotions and for execution of ceremonies. 4. An example promotion script is provided below and may be used in unit ceremonies to announce promotions to the next higher grade.
The President of the United States has reposed special trust and confidence in the patriotism, valor, fidelity, and abilities of (Rank, Full Name). In view of these qualities and their demonstrated potential for increased responsibility they are, therefore, promoted in the United States Army to the rank of XXX, effective DD MM YY, by the order of the Secretary of the Army, (insert name of current SA).

6. After the IPPS-A promotion transaction processes the officer will receive an email notification. Within 48 hours the order should be viewable in iPERMS/AMHRR, and the officer can download the order in IPPS-A. Orders are generated no earlier than midnight of effective date of promotion.
