AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is open to onboard AGR members of the California Army National Guard in the grades of: E6. Under-grade Soldiers may apply but will only be considered after all of-grade applicants are considered first and the corresponding EPS list for the announced position is exhausted. In order to be considered for this position’s applicants must meet minimum qualifications as outlined on this announcement.

POSITION COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be an onboard AGR member of the California Army National Guard.

NDMOSQ / Undergrade Applicants

  • Duty MOS qualified (MOSQ) is preferred, but you may submit for consideration if Non-Duty MOSQ / Non-Branch Qualified (requires submittal of NDMOSQ ETP endorsed by BDE with lateral application)
  • Under-grade Soldiers are eligible to submit for lateral consideration but will only be considered for lateral selection after all of-grade applicants are considered first and the corresponding AGR promotion list for the announced position MOS has been exhausted.

Initial AGR Tour and EPS Stabilization Requirements

  • AGR personnel in their initial tour are stabilized in their current AGR duty position for a minimum of 24 months if MOSQ upon hire and 36 months if non-MOSQ upon hire (IAW CAARNG Circular 135-18).

*Note: AGR Branch WILL CONSIDER lateral application for onboard AGR Soldiers serving in their initial assignment for a period of at least 18 months as long as applicant submits an Initial Tour Stabilization ETP endorsed by BDE with their lateral application.

  • The following list establishes the minimum EPS stabilization timelines for onboard AGR Soldier assignment after accepting an enlisted promotion offer (IAW CAARNG Pam 600-8-19):
    1. SGT – 12 months
    2. SSG – 18 months*
    3. SFC thru SGM – 24 months*

*Note: Onboard AGR Soldiers not meeting EPS stabilization must submit an EPS Stabilization ETP endorsed by BDE with their lateral application.

MINIMUM APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. On-board AGR means: The applicant must be a current Title 32 Active Guard Reserve (AGR) member in the California Army National Guard in order to apply.
  2. All Applicants Must be MOSQ in order to apply.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supply Sergeant provides full-time support to manage all supply readiness, maintenance, and accountability of all property. Conduct 100% property inventory within 30 days of assuming duties and ensure all property has been accounted for and signed for, to include shortage annexes, maintenance, requisition documents, and sub-hand receipts. Ensure that monthly sensitive item, quarterly and cyclic inventories are conducted, maintained, and signed by the Unit Commander. Account for and maintain serviceability records for all Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). Receives, inspects inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers and turns in organization and installation property and equipment. Operates the unit Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A). Prepares all unit/organizational supply documentation. Maintains the automated supply system for accounting of organizational property and equipment. Issues and receives small arms. Secures and controls weapons, ammunition and sensitive items in security areas. Schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons and sensitive items. Inspects completed transactions/work for accuracy and compliance with established policy and procedures. Coordinates property and equipment activities. Reviews and annotates changes to the unit material condition status report. Validates/posts transactions to organizational and installation property records and updates/maintains supporting document files. Determines required method of relief from responsibility for lost, damaged and destroyed property/equipment items. Maintain property and equipment under GCSS-Army. Review daily and monthly records of all property and equipment transactions including petroleum products, unit/organizational basic/combat loads and operating supplies. Reconcile all local purchase transactions for fiscal/property accounting. Ensure weapons/sensitive item inventories are conducted IAW current regulatory procedure. Provide technical assistance to unit/organizational equipment and records parts specialist. Work closely with the Group S4 OIC/NCOIC during Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) inspections, Command Maintenance Discipline Inspections, Organizational Inspection Program (OIP) and assists the Commander with his/her program. Perform all other duties as assigned.
