AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is open to the grades of: E6 to E7. In order to be considered for this position, applicants must meet minimum qualifications as outlined on this announcement. Individuals selected will receive an AGR Tour with the California Army National Guard.

MINIMUM APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Nationwide: All applicant must be a Current Active Army, National Guardsmen or Army Reserves member in order to apply.
- MIL ED: E6 applicants must be SQI 4 qualified.
- All E7 applicants must be 79T qualified.
- MIL ED Requirement: Must have the Appropriate Military Education for Grade
- If accessed as an E6, the selected applicant must have less than 19 years total Active Federal Service on the date the applicant is assessed into the AGR Program. (Not applicable to current AGR Members)
- If accessed as an E7, the selected applicant must have less than 23 years of total Active Federal Service on the date the applicant is assessed into the AGR Program (Not applicable to AGR members).
- AR 185-13, Table 2-1, Rule E (2a) states that “Staff sergeant, or above, must possess the required grade and MOS level, authorized for the AGR duty position.” This means that if any Non-Duty MOSQ E6 is selected for this position, they will have to take an administrative reduction to E5 to meet the regulatory guidance. E6 Non-Duty MOSQ applicants must include a memorandum stating acceptance of an administrative reduction with their packet.
- Mandatory for CAARNG AGRs with less than 3yrs in current assignment) AGR Branch must receive BDE command concurrence with the submission of your AGR packet. Command concurrence could either be an email to AGR Branch or a signed memorandum
- (Conditions for Employment) IAW AR 135-18, NGR 600-5, and CA ARNG Pam 600-200 applicants must meet the following requirements prior to applications being forwarded for board consideration: Applications from Soldiers who do not qualify under AR 135-18, Table 2–1, or who have a non-waivable disqualification under Table 2–3, or who fail to meet any additional requirements prescribed by Chief, National Guard Bureau, will be disapproved and returned to the applicant. Soldiers who qualify under Table 2–1, but have a waivable disqualification under Table 2–2, will attach a request for the appropriate waiver to their applications.
- Stabilization Policy (When Applicable): IAW NGR (AR) 600-5 Chapter 3, Para 3-5(c). Soldiers entering an initial three-year tour will be stabilized for the first 18 months of their initial tour.
- Accessions into the AGR Program with assignment to Positions of Significant Trust (POST) requires screening of personnel selected for suitability and security before assignment to POST. In order to ensure the best qualified personnel serve in identified POST. The Position of Trust standards are qualifications for specified assignments and not a standard of service.
- Applicants must not have been relieved for cause from any duty position in the 36-month period preceding the date of application for the AGR Program, or the scheduled date of entry in the AGR Program.
- Must be in compliance with FRAGO I, HQDA EXORD 161-13 Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program Army Stand-Down and SMOM 15-017, Screening of Title 32 Positions of Significant Trust and Authority (POSTA).
- Must have no record of conviction by special or general courts-martial or civilian courts of offenses listed in AR 27-10 (Military Justice), chapter 24 or otherwise required to register as a sexual offender under AR 27-10, chapter 24.
- IAW AR 135-18, Table 2-1 Rule B (1). Prior to entry on active duty or full-time National Guard (FTNGD) in the AGR program, must meet medical fitness standards for retention, (with the exception of Soldiers testing positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)) and be medically certified as having no trace of illegal drugs. Soldiers testing positive for HIV will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis as directed in DoDI 6130.03. HIV test must be within six months prior to initial entry into the AGR Program.
- Must have a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Must meet the Army body fat standards IAW AR 600–9.
- Applicants must have a current passing Army Fitness Test (AFT).
- Must meet the Army medical retention standards in accordance with AR 40-501, Chapter 3.
- Applicants must meet medical fitness standards. PHA must be within 12 months prior to orders publication.
- Applicants must not be Flagged (Adverse, AFT, or Height and Weight) or be in a Medical Non-Deployable (MND) status.
- All applicants will sign a NGB Form 34-2 (Certificate of Agreement and Understanding) during their accession process into the ARNG Title 32 AGR FTNGD Program.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Canvases area and contacts referrals and leads. Distribute and display SM promotional items in the unit and in the community to create brand awareness and generate leads. Prepares and conducts presentations about the ARNG on such topics as the role of the ARNG, state/federal missions, features and benefits, employment opportunities and ARNG history. Prequalifies referrals, prospects, leads and/or current members to determine their eligibility for enlistment or extension and update records in ARISS. Schedules appointments and conducts interviews to obtain enlistments and conducts follow-up interviews to retain current enlistments and gain extensions. Completes necessary Live Scan Authorizations, updates records in ARISS. Counsel’s applicants on test results, enlistment contracts, service obligations, IET requirements and disqualifications. Prepares all required hard copy documents for enlistment waivers and forwards to RRSC for Quality Control (QC) process. Completes waiver information screen in ARISS for applicants requiring a waiver and choosing the State Level approving authority for all waivers. Uses ARISS to complete and send all enlistment packets to MEPS. Uses ARISS to demonstrate work activity to allow higher echelons to validate RRB funding. Manages prospect information, school program information, COI, VIP and unit member information as required. Performs administrative or logistical tasks necessary to prepare the Soldier for entrance into and success while part of the RSP and Initial Entry Training (IET). Provides strength maintenance guidance and training for unit attrition personnel and on all administrative requirements necessary for Soldier retention. Assists in the development and implementation of the Unit Sponsorship Program.

- The packet consists of the following documents: Completed HRR Form 600 Recruiting/Training Cadre Suitability Questionnaire, Favorable T3 (NACLC) background investigation or higher, copy of Social Security card, and MEDPROS printout reflecting current PHA.
- SQI4 qualified applicants will be evaluated for recruiting badge level and commensurate experience.
- Microsoft teams/telephonic interview required for applicants.
- PCS/relocation within 50 miles of duty location IAW JTR is required.
- Must have passing AFT within the last 6 months.
- A physical profile of 132221.
- Soldiers possessing a 3 in Upper Extremities must have prior MOS Administrative Retention Review (MAR2) clearance (waiver not authorized).
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a secret clearance.
Qualifying ASVAB scores
- Must have a minimum general technical (GT) score of 110 (waivable to GT score of 100 with a skilled-technical (ST) score of 96 on the ASVAB).
