Must be a current on-board CAARNG AGR within the grade of E6. Onboard CAARNG AGR E5 applicants may apply but will only be considered after all onboard CAARNG AGR E6 Lateral applicants have been considered and the corresponding CAARNG 88M3O/E6 AGR Enlisted Promotion List is exhausted.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION

This position is open to onboard AGR members of the California Army National Guard in the grades of: E6. Under-grade Soldiers may apply but will only be considered after all of-grade applicants are considered first and the corresponding EPS list for the announced position is exhausted. In order to be considered for this position’s applicants must meet minimum qualifications as outlined on this announcement.

Applicants will submit the below-listed documents. If any of the required documents are not reasonably available to you, a brief letter will be submitted citing the documents missing with a short explanation necessary to certify the Soldier as eligible. Failure to do so may result in a finding of ineligibility and may cause the applicant to lose consideration for this position.

POSITION COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be an onboard AGR member of the California Army National Guard.

NDMOSQ / Undergrade Applicants

  • Duty MOS qualified (MOSQ) is preferred, but you may submit for consideration if Non-Duty MOSQ / Non-Branch Qualified (requires submittal of NDMOSQ ETP endorsed by BDE with lateral application)
  • Under-grade Soldiers are eligible to submit for lateral consideration but will only be considered for lateral selection after all of-grade applicants are considered first and the corresponding AGR promotion list for the announced position MOS has been exhausted.

Initial AGR Tour and EPS Stabilization Requirements

  • AGR personnel in their initial tour are stabilized in their current AGR duty position for a minimum of 24 months if MOSQ upon hire and 36 months if non-MOSQ upon hire (IAW CAARNG Circular 135-18).

Note: AGR Branch WILL CONSIDER lateral application for onboard AGR Soldiers serving in their initial assignment for a period of at least 18 months as long as applicant submits an Initial Tour Stabilization ETP endorsed by BDE with their lateral application.

  • The following list establishes the minimum EPS stabilization timelines for onboard AGR Soldier assignment after accepting an enlisted promotion offer (IAW CAARNG Pam 600-8-19):
    1. SGT – 12 months
    2. SSG – 18 months*
    3. SFC thru SGM – 24 months*

Note: Onboard AGR Soldiers not meeting EPS stabilization must submit an EPS Stabilization ETP endorsed by BDE with their lateral application.

MINIMUM APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. On-board AGR means: The applicant must be a current Title 32 Active Guard Reserve (AGR) member in the California Army National Guard in order to apply.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for all day-to-day training operations in preparation for monthly IDT periods. Manages unit training calendar, training rosters, and training input into the Army Training Information System (ATIS). Submits applications for required training within ATRRS. Facilitates orders production via DAMPS and Travel Authorizations via Defense Travel System (DTS).

Provides assistance and guidance in preparation for and execution of unit training and other mobilization readiness related activities. Ensures that preparatory visits are conducted as necessary to training sites to ensure availability and to procure training areas, ranges, training equipment, and other facilities required by the unit to execute training.

Assists with the completion of unit readiness and administrative tasks including IPPS-A Personnel Action Requests, separations, promotions, advancements.

Attends all unit training assemblies, additional training assemblies and AT periods. Must be willing and prepared to attend all required schools, courses, and events that support unit activities.

Performs 88M3O duties as described in DA PAM 611-21.
