INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING
The documents listed below ARE THE ONLY AUTHORIZED documents to be submitted. If any of the required documents are not reasonably available to you, a brief letter will be submitted citing the documents missing with a short explanation necessary to certify the soldier as eligible. Failure to do so may result in a finding of ineligibility and may cause the applicant to lose consideration for this position.
- NGB 34-1 (dated 20131111) must be complete with original signature and memos (Must submit explanation memos for yes selections except for question #9 and #17).
- Photocopy of last 5 NCOERs (must submit memorandums for gaps in NCOERS and service members with DOR less than 5 years).
- Security verification memo dated within the last 3 months
- Copy of all DD214’s / NGB 22’s showing all prior service.
- Medical Protection System Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) dated within the last 12 months.
- Report from ATIS showing passing AFT and Height/Weight within the last six months (DA 705 and DA 5500/5501 accepted in lieu of ATIS report)
- DA 5016 from My Retirement Points tile on IPPS-A or most recent NGB 23A (RPAM) from iPERMS
- Copy of Soldier Talent Profile (STP) w/ ASVAB scores dated within 3 months.
- Exception to Policy (ETP) memo for current COARNG AGR Soldiers who are under 36 months in their current assignment. Does not apply for promotion, Commander, or 1SG announcements
- Profiles must be attached if applicable. Pregnancy itself is not a disqualifier.

The individual(s) must qualify for and be placed in the following compatible MOS/AOC: 18X
MINIMUM APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 series MOS qualified to apply for this position.
- Must possess a current Secret clearance.
- Must be Airborne qualified.
- Must be Special Forces qualified.
- PCS funds subject to availability.
- Per the COARNG AGR Stabilization Policy dated 7 September 2025, AGR Soldiers serving less than 36 months in their current assignment are ineligible for application unless the announcement pertains to a promotion opportunity or an Exception to Policy Memo (ETP) is attached with application.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Serves as the principal readiness manager for a Special Forces Company, responsible for maintaining personnel, medical, training, and administrative readiness across multiple ODAs and support elements. Ensures the company maintains a fully deployable posture in support of USASOC and SOCOM missions worldwide. Advises the Company Commander and First Sergeant on readiness trends, shortfalls, and solutions that impact operational availability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Tracks and reports individual Soldier readiness—including medical, dental, training, and administrative requirements—to ensure all personnel meet deployability standards.
- Maintains daily accountability and duty status accuracy across company elements; updates Army HR systems and coordinates with the Battalion S–1 and S–3 for synchronization.
- Oversees medical readiness metrics such as PHAs, immunizations, profiles, and deployment health requirements; coordinates appointments and follow-ups with medical sections.
- Manages training readiness including mandatory Army programs, MOS-specific tasks, SOF-unique certifications, and pre-mission training requirements.
- Tracks physical fitness, weapons qualification, height/weight compliance, and other Soldier readiness indicators; alerts command to lapses or upcoming requirements.
- Maintains company readiness trackers, dashboards, and digital records for reporting to Company leadership, Battalion staff, and Group headquarters.
- Coordinates with Battalion S–4 and logistics personnel to ensure individual equipment, OCIE, and mission gear are maintained and fully issued prior to training or deployments.
- Conducts readiness audits and develops corrective action plans for Soldiers flagged or at risk of becoming non-deployable.
- Advises Company leadership on regulatory and SOF-specific requirements affecting operational readiness; enhances command decision-making with accurate data.
- Supports deployment preparation by verifying orders, Soldier records, gear lists, training completion, and medical checks.
- Mentors junior NCOs and Soldiers in administrative, medical, and training readiness procedures to improve company-level efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinates readiness tasks during high-tempo periods such as JRTC rotations, UW/FID training cycles, and deployment prep.
