AREA OF CONSIDERATION
This position is open to the grades of: O2 to O3. Individual selected will receive an AGR Tour with the Connecticut Army. In order to be considered for this position, applicants must meet minimum qualifications as outlined on this announcement.

Failure to do so may result in a finding of ineligibility and may cause the applicant to lose consideration for this position.
- Signed original NGB Form 34-1 dtd 20131111 (Application for Active Guard/Reserve Position). Add primary email address in “Current Home Address Line”. Application packet will consist of the following documents IAW AR 135-18 and NGR 600-5.
- Individual Medical Readiness Record (IMR). PHA date must be within 12 months of closing date & HIV test must be within 24 months from closing date of this advertisement. (Accessible through https:/ /medpros.mods.army.mil/portal)
- Statement of all active service performed. Any of the following documents may be used: DD 214s, DD FORM 5016 (IPPSA)
- STP(Soldier Talent Profile) from IPPS-A
- Copy of DA Form 1059 demonstrating highest Professional Military Education (PME) qualification (if you have not attended minimum PME required for your grade, you must submit a brief letter / memo with a short explanation).
- Copy of DA Form 705: AFT must indicate “GO” (must say “Record” AFT on scorecard. Must be dated within the last 6 months of close date for AGRs or within the last 12 months for M-Day.
- Copy of favorable DA 5500 or DA 5501 (Body Content Worksheet) dated w/in 12 months. (If not applicable, upload DA 705 with passing HT/WT or memo/document signed by Training or Readiness stating it does not apply
- Security Clearance memorandum from State Security Manager Office, or Brigade representative, dated within 60 days of the closing date. Failure to submit current Certificate of Clearance will result in being ineligible for consideration.
- Copy of civilian transcripts
- CTARNG AGR Soldiers ONLY – Letter of Endorsement (LOE) from BDE AO acknowledging AGR Soldier is applying for another AGR position outside their MSC. AGR Soldiers applying for positions within the same MSC need not submit a LOE.
- Copy of last three (3) OERs. In the event you do not have three OERs, you must submit a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) in lieu of the OER to substantiate a total of three documents. DA 1059s will not be considered as evaluations for this purpose. All LORs must be signed.
POSITION COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The individual(s) must qualify for and be placed in the following compatible MOS/AOC: 70H
MINIMUM APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Applicant must hold the rank of O2-O3; if O3, must have a DOR no earlier than 01JAN24
- Any AMEDD-qualified 70-series may apply for consideration. If not currently 70H qualified, must become qualified within one year of hire.
- Must be AMEDD OBC-qualified.
- Must possess a SECRET clearance
- Applicant must be able to participate in a Hazmat Dexterity Test. Applicant must complete Hazmat Physical Agility/Dexterity Evaluation during interview process to include wear of Hazmat PPE including SCBA/respiratory protection.
- Selectee must pass OSHA physical exam before assignment to the position.
- Must be able to receive anthrax, smallpox, and other CBRNE Response Enterprise (CRE-) required vaccinations.
- Preferred qualifications / skills: AMEDD CCC enrolled or complete, 70H-qualified, post command complete, and/or a civilian degree in physical or health science.
- Must complete NGB prescribed Civil Support Skills Course (CSSC) within six (6) months of hire, or next available date, subject to availability of resources. Failure to complete within one (1) year may result in reassignment or termination of full-time employment unless extenuating circumstances preclude course attendance.
- You may be required to serve a developmental assignment of up to three (3) years at National Guard Bureau or other location during your AGR career in the Connecticut Army National Guard AGR program
- Onboard AGR who are in their initial 18-month stabilization period are not eligible to apply IAW AR 600-5 para 3-5c. Eligible onboard applicants must submit a signed LOE from their BDE AO with their packet

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Acts as a resource for the Incident Commander on the medical administrative aspects of a response to a hazardous event. Identifies the requirements for victim transportation including the number and types of vehicles needed. Provides advice on the disbursement of casualties depending on the location of the needed bed capacity and the capabilities of the healthcare facility. Acts as a resource for the Incident Commander, the local healthcare facilities, and other DoD response element son the procedures required to control access and prevent contamination when requested. Provides advice on expansion of current healthcare facilities to accommodate the number of victims. Recommends relocation of patients from contaminated or destroyed medical care facilities. Advises the Incident Commander on releasing medical information to the public. Obtains medical Intelligence information and shares with appropriate agencies. Discusses formal reporting of hazard and victim information to the appropriate agencies. Coordinates with civilian and federal healthcare facilities to identify their needs for follow-on support. When needed, facilitates follow-on medical support for the Incident Commander.
Additional Duties: serve as an Alternate Analytical Laboratory System (ALS) operator and ALS Deputy Quality Manager for laboratory accreditation.
