Position Title, Authorized Military Grade, MOS, Location: Supply NCO, E4-E6, 92Y, Camp Murray, WA
Unit: WA Medical Readiness Detachment (MRD)
Area Of Consideration: This position is open statewide to all current members of the Washington Army National Guard.
Note On PCS Funding: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) funding for applicants requiring a move may not be available until Fiscal Year 2027.
Brief Job Description:
The Unit Supply Specialist directs all logistical and supply chain operations, managing supply actions in GCSS-A, tracking Class I requests via AFMIS, and overseeing equipment maintenance and medical equipment calibrations to ensure unit readiness. This position maintains full property accountability by managing property books, hand receipts, and conducting sensitive item inventories. Key financial duties include managing lodging and meal purchases as the GFEBS manager and facilitating GSA, transportation, and contract requests. The role also includes collateral duties such as Unit Environmental Compliance Officer (UECO), Unit Prevention Leader (UPL), and Safety Officer, and requires performing additional tasks as directed by unit leadership to support the mission.
Qualifications
- Rank: Minimum rank of Specialist (SPC).
- Applicants must hold MOS 92Y or be eligible to become qualified within 12 months from the date of hire. Applicants must meet the comprehensive entry requirements for the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) program as specified in AR 135-18, NGR 600-5, and DA PAM 611-21 to be considered for this position
Program & Application Requirements:
- Current AGR Soldiers: Soldiers on an initial AGR tour are not eligible to apply if they have served less than 18 months in their current position.
- Soldiers who qualify under AR 135-18, Table 2–1 but have a waivable disqualification under Table 2–2, will attach a request for the appropriate waiver to their applications.
- When appropriate, the Soldier must also meet the medical fitness standards for flying duty in accordance with AR 40–501.
Job Announcement: 26-037 - Must be able to complete a three-year initial tour of active duty or FTNGD prior to the date of mandatory removal from an active status based on age, or service (without any extensions).
- Must not be flagged or have a Medical Non-Deployable status.
- Must not have been relieved for cause from any duty assignment in the past 36 months.
- Must have no record of conviction by military or civilian courts for offenses listed in AR 27-10 (Military Justice).
- Must be in full compliance with the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program.
- Acceptance of an AGR position will terminate eligibility for all bonuses and student loan repayments, effective on the AGR entry date.
Physical & Medical Requirements:
- Army Fitness Test (AFT): Must have passed an AFT within six months of the application date.
- Medical Standards: Must meet Army medical retention and accession standards per AR 40-501.
- Body Composition: Must meet Army body composition standards per AR 600-9.
- PHA: Physical Health Assessment must be current within 12 months of the announcement’s closing date.
- HIV: Must test negative for HIV within 24 months of the accession date (AR 600-110).
Required Application Documents:

- NGB Form 34-1: Completed, signed, and dated Application for AGR Position.
- Soldier Talent Profile (STP): Must include ASVAB scores or a separate ASVAB verification document.
- Individual Medical Readiness (IMR): Official report from MEDPROS showing a current PHA (within 12 months).
- DA Form 705 (AFT): Passing Army Fitness Test dated within the last 6 months.
- Waist-to-Height ratio (WHtR) Compliance Memo: Memorandum signed by your unit Readiness NCO, First Sergeant or Commander confirming compliance dated within 30 days of application.
- Prior Service Documents: Copies of all DD Form 214s.
- DA Form 5016: Current Retirement Accounting Statement from IPPS-A.
- Performance Evaluations: Complete copies of your last three evaluations (or a letter of recommendation for those who do not have evaluations).
- Security Clearance Memo: Memorandum from your S2 verifying your security clearance status.
- Command Concurrence Memo (Current WAARNG AGR Only): Required memo from Company through MSC level command.
- Memorandums for Record (As applicable): To explain missing documents or for voluntary reduction in grade.
- RRB Position Documents (As applicable): HRR Form 600 and DD Form 369 for Recruiting and Retention applicants.
