Investing for Veterans

Although this is an unofficial blog of the Army National Guard, this page is not only for the members of the Army National Guard. This is for all members of the United States Armed Forces. No matter the branch of service, rank, or length of service, we all proudly served our country. But among many sacrifices we make/made as the members of the United States military, one of the biggest sacrifice is the financial sacrifice. We are grossly under paid for our service! For an example, when you die while in service, the most money you can get is $400,000, and that is only if you’ve been paying your dues for the highest SGLI coverage amount. And for this reason, I’m writing this page. You deserve more, and financial freedom is one of them. So like all the other pages on this blog, I will give you facts, without bullshit. I want you to have more money, much more than what you get/got paid for your service.

There are many philosophies on investing. But mine is this: I INVEST FOR RETIREMENT.

Now, read the definition of retirement:the action or fact of leaving one’s job and ceasing to work.” You retire when you leave your job and stop working. And everyone does that some point in life, eventually when you die. For most people, that ultimate retirement is not by choice. But for some people,

For everyone, the WHY of stop working may be different. For some people, they stop working because they can’t work anymore. They are too old and physically cannot handle the duties of a job, or no one is willing to pay you for work. But for some, they stop working because they choose to, because they can afford to not work but still have enough money to live the life they want. For some, that time never comes, or for others, it is very late in life. But I want you to retire whenever you want, not because you have to. But whenever that time comes, I want you to have enough money to live the life you want. Now let’s get to it.

I will cover topics in the order of importance and urgency, so start with #1 and work your way down. And if you have any questions, leave comments on respective pages so I can answer them for you.

1. Saving for Retirement

2. Making Money with Stocks

3. Buying Houses

PLEASE NOTE: Everything related to investing on this blog is purely personal opinions. They are not investing advice. You make your own financial choices, just like how you DECIDED to raise your right hand to serve your country.
