This MILPER message describes the specific eligibility criteria to allow officers to request to defer promotion consideration for (Opt-Out of) the FY26, Army Competitive Category (ACC), Lieutenant Colonel (LTC), Promotion Selection Board (PSB). This message only applies to officers in the In Zone (Primary Zone) of consideration. Officers may submit their request to opt-out from 15 May 2025 to 16 June 2025. Requests received after 2359 hours EST on 16 June 2025 will be returned without action.
