1. This message applies to all Soldiers in the Regular Army (RA). This message will expire one year from release.
2. The Army seeks qualified Soldiers to become Army Equestrians (MOS 08H). Army Equestrian professionals are assigned to the U.S. Army Military Mounted Battalion (USAMMB) of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) based out of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH), VA. The USAMMB serves as the mounted escort for military funerals to honor fallen Soldiers with dignity. The unit emphasizes professionalism, tradition, and respect while caring for horses and maintaining ceremonial readiness.
