POSITION TITLE: Production Recruiter

UNIT: Recruiting and Retention Battalion
FEMALE ASSIGNMENT ELIGIBILITY: Yes WHO MAY APPLY: Open to all
AGR/Military Technician/Traditional. Soldiers in the grades of E4/SPC
through E6/SSG who are members of the Virginia Army National Guard. If
you are not a member of the Virginia Army National Guard, you must meet
the prerequisites to become a member of the Virginia Army National
Guard.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL NOTE: All E-4/SPC MUST have completed BLC and meet all
promotional requirements to be considered for the Production Recruiter
position. Those who do not meet these criteria will not be considered.
• Must have a minimum score of 110 in the aptitude area general
technical (GT). Applicants with a GT score of 100 or GT score of 95 with
a skilled technical (ST) score of 95 will be considered for a line
score waiver.
• Those requiring a line score waiver may submit a Memorandum for Record
providing meritorious justification for line score waiver consideration
with their packet.
• If selected, the candidate must complete Suitability screening with favorable results.
• Must complete ARNG Non-Career Recruiter course at the National Guard
Professional Education Center within 6 months of assignment.
• This is a 3-year stabilized tour which may or may not be extended
based on the needs of the service. Relocation may be required. Elected
soldiers will be assigned to station location based on the needs of the
service.
• The start date is contingent on availability of funding from NGB.
• Applicant must possess or be able to possess a secret clearance and maintain Government Travel Card.
• Must complete ARNG Non-Career Recruiter course at the National Guard
Professional Education Center within 6 months of assignment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW NGR 601-1,
NGR 600-200, NGR 600-5, AR 600-60, AR 40-501, AR 600-8-2 and AR 135-18.
BRIEF
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruiting & Retention
NCOs must conform to the highest moral and ethical standards and
responsibilities required of an NCO. RRNCOs are responsible for managing
their own time and often work long and erratic hours to accomplish
assigned missions. Must maintain compliance with applicable strength
maintenance regulations, policies, procedures, and State guidance.
Specific tasks, duties, and responsibilities include the following but
are not limited to: establishing and maintaining contacts in designated
recruiting area in order to generate interest, leads, and enlistments
into the VAARNG; conducting telephone prospecting, area canvassing and
other lead generating activities; developing, implementing, and
maintaining effective school recruiting programs; presenting formal and
informal presentations to various school and civic groups concerning the
VAARNG mission/role, history, programs, features, benefits, and various
enlistment opportunities; prequalifying prospects to ensure current,
basic enlistment eligibility criteria are met; advising interested
parties on enlistment options, programs, obligations, IET requirements,
selective reserve incentive programs and the Montgomery GI Bill; serving
as advisor to unit commanders in development and implementation of
strength maintenance program.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Position requires a “SECRET” security clearance.
Must be able to obtain as a minimum, an “interim” clearance prior to
appointment to the position. Soldiers with a prior revoked or denied
clearance are not eligible for either an interim or a waiver and should
not apply. If tentatively selected for a position and soldier cannot be
granted an interim clearance prior to appointment to the position, the
offer for the position maybe revoked, Non-USA citizens are not eligible
for a security clearance per DOD 5200.2R.

Enlisted Personnel or newly commission officers that do not have five
consecutive evaluations must provide letters of recommendation from the
first O3 in chain of command.
3. Printed copy of Soldier Talent Profile from IPPS-A
4. Current Individual Medical Record dated within the last 12 months.
5. Last 3 years of ACFT/AFT and HT/WT Individual Training Record from
DTMS is preferred. DA 705 and DA 5500/5501 are accepted. Include DA 3349
if applicable.
6. Documentation to support all periods of duty/service creditable for
retirement. Examples include DD 214, DA 1506, NGB 23 (RPAM)
7. Additional Documents: Letters of recommendation, Awards, Certificates of training, Degrees, etc.
8. HRR Form 600 for Suitability Screening
9. DD 369 Police Record Check
10. Geographical Preference Sheet
