BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Assigned as a Squad Leader, responsible for the health, welfare, morale, and combat readiness of a squad.
Assists platoon sergeant in developing and implementing individual training; provides technical guidance and support to subordinates in administrative matters; supervises maintenance; Anticipate and recommend solutions to needs of the unit in all aspects of training readiness. Act as the day-to-day representative and spokesperson in the daily training operations of the unit and to ensure the highest training status of the unit. Act as primary custodian of the DTS, ATRRS, RFMSS, and DTMS and must ensure the data is correct and current. Responsible for the tracking and management of all School applications, Range Requests, and Training Support Packets. Act on the commanders behalf to ensure training objectives are planned, resourced, and documented.
Represent M-Day leadership during non-IDT and other training periods and supervise subordinate full-time staff.
INITIAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants MUST meet ALL initial eligibility requirements to become a member of the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Program outlined in NGR 600-5 and AR 135-18, Page 3, Table 2-1. Individuals who have been separated from other military services for cause, unsuitability or unfitness for Military service are not eligible to enter the AGR program without an approved waiver (If Applicable).
- MUST hold advertised MOS: 11B
- Must be willing to reside in (relocate to) and work in Ketchikan, Alaska commuting area for 3 year tour.
- Applicants in the grade of E4/SPC must have successfully completed Army Basic Leader Course (BLC).
- Must meet current Army Physical Fitness Requirements IAW AR 350-1 and height/weight standards as prescribed by AR 600-9. If a new accession into the AGR Program, must have passed a record Army Fitness Test within the last 6 months, per AR 135-18, Table 2-1 Rule B.
- For initial entry on AGR duty, must not have served more than 15 years of Active Federal Service (AFS).
- Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator license
- If selected for this position, Command Sponsorship approval through the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) may be required
- No record of civil conviction other than minor traffic offenses.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT CRITERIA
If selected for this position, be advised that you may lose your military signing bonus if payment has not been completed and you may lose some of your G.I Bill benefits if currently in use. If selected for this position approval of Command Sponsorship through the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) evaluation may be required. Continuation beyond Initial 3 year tour will be subject to evaluation based on AGR Subsequent Tour Continuation Board. If applicable, selectee does not possess the advertised MOS, he/she must complete the required training/assignment criteria within 12 months of being assigned to the position. Failure to do so may result in immediate termination from the AGR program. Extension past 12 months will only be considered if the delay is through no fault of the selectee.
All non-MS applicants understand that DoW and DA regulations require an officer who is reappointed into AMEDD have their rank and date of rank recalculated at 1/2 credit for all commissioned service normally resulting in a decrease in their current rank by one grade and that there are no exceptions. There is a three year Mandatory Service Obligation for accepting a position with the Civil Support Team (CST).

- Statement of all active service performed-ALL DD220, DD214 and any accompanying DD215 as applicable
- Copy of Soldier Record Brief (Must be within 6 months) OR Soldier Talent Profile
- Valid State Drivers License.
- DA Form 705-Test: AFT Scorecard (Must show a passing score within 6 months of application)
- Last five Evaluations Reports (if applicable)
- Proof of BLC graduation (1059 or equivalent)
- Any documents pertaining to Additional Eligibility requirements
