2. This message announces zones of eligibility, methodology, and administrative instructions for use by the 2025 FLEP Selection Board and Unfunded Legal Education Program (UFLEP) for AY 2026-27. New statutory authority provides a temporary increase in the number of FLEP participants from 25 to 35 per AY and also authorizes participants to attend law school at their own expense in exchange for a reduced Active Duty Service Obligation (ADSO).
