1. This MILPER message is effective upon release and expires 30 September 2026. It provides procedural guidance for the FY26 Special VTIP for Functional Area (FA) Reductions (FA REDUX).
2. Only RA ACC Officers in FA50, FA57, and Acquisition Corps (AC) IAW the FY26 Special VTIP In/Out chart are eligible to apply during the FY26 Special VTIP application window. Exceptions to Policy (ETP) for Over 14 Years AFCS, Branch Detailed officers, Medical, AFT350, Warrant Officer, ATI-Impacted Aviators and officers departing AMEDD are still processed year-round IAW MILPER 25-500, Paragraph 7.
