S1NET Message Summary - 14 Oct 21

1. S1NET MEMBER’S TRANSITION FROM ENTERPRISE EMAIL TO A365 EMAIL. We are continuing to receive many emails from S1NET members requesting that we change their milSuite profile to update their email from mail.mil to army.mil.  We do not have the ability to change member profiles. The email in a member’s profile is a direct pull from DMDC, and the DMDC self service function for individuals to change their own email is not currently functional – they are working on a solution to the problem. In the meantime, S1NET members transitioning to A365 email need to ensure that they set up a rule in Outlook to automatically forward their enterprise email messages from their enterprise account to their A365 address to continue to receive S1NET Message Summary’s. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/apf/s1net/overview

2. ARMY SHIFTS ROLLOUT OF NEW PERSONNEL AND PAY SYSTEM (IPPS-A) TO SEPTEMBER 2022. U.S. Army senior leaders announced today (7 Oct 21) that the rollout of the Integrated Personnel Pay System-Army Release 3 will be moved from December 2021 to September 2022. IPPS-A is the Army’s No. 1 human resources modernization effort, and is currently undergoing vigorous testing prior to deployment. 3. MILITARY PAY (MILPAY) TRANSITION COURSE – DISTRIBUTED LEARNING (dL). From the AG School: The updated Military Pay (MilPay) Transition Course – Distributed Learning (dL) is available for self-enrollment on the Soldier Support Institute (SSI) Blackboard. 4. BRANCH/COMMAND ITEMS.

     a. DEFENDER – EUROPE 22 (DEF-E 22) LARGE SCALE GROUND EXERCISE (LSGE). From USAREUR-AF G1 PLOEX OPS:  Unit S1s of all participating units in the Large Scale Ground Exercise (LSGE) Europe 22 should contact the 1st HRSC Plans and Operations Division immediately and provide the POC of all the S1 personnel from their units that are participating in the LSGE LIVEX- Sabre Strike (SBS22), DEFENDER LIVEX (DE22 LIVEX), and Swift Response 22 (SR22). https://www.milsuite.mil/book/thread/259077

     b. 10TH AIR AND MISSILE DEFENSE COMMAND INTERVIEWS FOR OIM (ACTIVE DUTY) FOR 22-02. The 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command sends greetings from Sembach, Germany!  We are hosting interview sessions (in person and telephonic) at Fort Leavenworth from 19-20 October (limited availability on the 20th). These interviews are targeted towards currently enrolled CGSC and SAMS students.      c. UNITED STATES ARMY EUROPE AND AFRICA PRESENTATION TO ILE STUDENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS. Key leaders from USAREUR-AF Staff and Subordinate Commands will host a presentation for ILE students and their Family members on 19 October 2021 at 1300 Central Standard Time at the Lewis and Clark building, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in the Arnold Conference room.      d. 193D INFANTRY BASIC COMBAT TRAINING BRIGADE, 22-02 MOVEMENT CYCLE VIRTUAL TOWN HALL. The Bayonet Brigade is seeking talented Lieutenants, Captains, and Majors from all branches for the 22-02 AIM movement cycle to fill Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Battalion XO, and Brigade Staff positions located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The 193d is comprised of 5 Basic Combat Training Battalions and the largest reception battalion in the US Army and transitions 20,000 Civilians into Soldiers annually.   A Virtual Town Hall will be held on 20 October at 1000 (EST) on MS Teams for all interested Officers to learn more about exciting opportunities and have their questions answered. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/message/962735
