U.S. Army Warrior Fitness Team - Competitive Athlete Talent Call

The U.S. Army Warrior Fitness Team (WFT) is a highly successful, DA-sanctioned program run by the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). The organization fields competitive fitness athletes to represent the U.S. Army both online and at various fitness events across the country. The mission is simple: connect America's Army to the American public through a passion for fitness.

We are looking to expand our talent pool of Active Duty, Army Reserve, and National Guard Soldiers in the sport of CrossFit, Strongman/women, and power/Olympic lifting. We compete at the highest level in these sports and are looking to maximize participation in order to maintain our competitive edge and help connect the American people to the Army through fitness.

Candidates who are identified as the most competitive will be requested to visit Fort Knox, KY for a fitness evaluation and interview process.

Soldiers selected to the team must be prepared for a PCS assignment to Fort Knox and understand that it will also involve recruiting engagements and interaction with the public on a daily basis. There is also an opportunity to be a part of the "at-large" team if you are not selected for the Fort Knox based resident team and/or cannot PCS to Fort Knox.

Time is running out to impact National Guard policy

The strength of our military comes from the people who serve.  We must remain focused on reinforcing positive, constructive behaviors while eliminating behaviors that threaten our readiness or our ability to act as a unified, lethal fighting force.  Ensuring our formations and military community are free from sexual harassment, sexual assault, and gender discrimination is vital. To support our efforts in protecting the health and well-being of all who serve, I am writing to remind you to take the congressionally-mandated Workplace and Gender Relations Survey. Letter to the Force - MLK Day 2022

To the Soldiers, Airmen, and Families of the National Guard

Last year, more than 26,000 National Guardsmen deployed to Washington, DC, to support the Presidential Inauguration.  We stood watch by the iconic monuments and memorials that characterize our Nation’s capital, protecting the symbols of our Nation and its journey.  There are many striking images from that time, but one stands out.

It was January 18, and members of the 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment of the Florida National Guard were providing security at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.  A photographer captured a moment of our Guardsmen standing before an engraving of Dr. King’s wise and eternal words: “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

Our Nation is no stranger to challenge and controversy.  But there are men and women who forsake comfort and convenience for the safety of their fellow Americans, the betterment of our society, and the hope for a brighter future.  There are men and women who believe in the principles of freedom and democracy, of equality and unity, of liberty and justice.  They are the living embodiment of Dr. King’s values and vision.  We are honored to call them members of our National Guard.

Thank you for answering every time our Nation, and our communities called.  In times of challenge and controversy, when our Nation needs us most, you stand up and step forward: Always Ready, Always There.

Sincerely,
