Letter to the Force - Hispanic Heritage Month

To the Soldiers, Airmen, and Families of the National Guard

There is a memorial marker in Arlington National Cemetery engraved with the words “In Memory of Humbert Roque Versace.”  A Soldier of Puerto Rican and Italian heritage, Captain Versace was taken as a prisoner of war after being ambushed in Vietnam.  Despite grievous wounds, despite being held in chains, despite being locked in isolation, Captain Versace proved to be an indomitable force.  He attempted to escape on four separate occasions, he swore at his captors in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, and he did everything he could to maintain the morale of his fellow American prisoners.  The night before he was executed, his fellow prisoners of war heard him singing “God Bless America” at the very top of his lungs.

Captain Versace is only one of the many Hispanic Americans who have honorably worn the cloth of our Nation.  The month of September is National Hispanic Heritage Month, where we honor the contributions and culture of Hispanic Americans, particularly those who serve in our Armed Forces.

That includes the predominately Hispanic 158th Infantry Regiment from the Arizona National Guard, which inspired General Douglas MacArthur to exclaim “No greater combat-fighting team has ever deployed for battle.”

It includes First Lieutenant Oscar F. Perdomo, a World War II fighter pilot who became an “Ace in a Day” with five confirmed victories during his final combat mission.

It includes Lieutenant General Edward Baca, the 23rd Chief of the National Guard Bureau.

It includes the countless Hispanic Americans whose service continues today, stepping forward to bear the weight of a solemn oath to our Nation.

This month, we celebrate a heritage of faith and family, of hard work and dedication, of service and sacrifice.  With gratitude, we thank the Hispanic Americans who have given their all to be part of the American story, and who help us keep our promise to be Always Ready, Always There.

Sincerely,

Daniel R. Hokanson

Chief, National Guard Bureau

  2. Apply to open a Webull brokerage account between 09/01/2021 - 09/30/2021 and receive a free stock, valued between $3 - $300. (The Account Opening Bonus is valid for the first time Webull brokerage account opening only.)
  3. The Deposit Bonus Promotion is only applicable for Webull cash and margin accounts. Any other accounts (such as Webull IRAs) are not qualified for this.
  4. This promotion is only valid for the first time Webull brokerage account deposits. During the promotion duration, a new brokerage account holder, who makes an initial deposit of any amount between 09/01/2021 - 09/30/2021 will receive a free stock, valued between $8 - $2000.
  5. Initial deposits made between 09/01/2021 - 09/30/2021 will allow the client to claim a Initial Deposit Stock, valued between $8 - $2000.
  6. These reward stocks will be distributed from Webull's inventory of settled shares held specifically for this promotion. When the stocks were purchased, Webull made sure they were above the price range we promised. Due to market fluctuation, some stock values may drop from the time we made the purchase. Please understand that we have no control over the fluctuation of the market.
  7. The Initial Deposit Stock can only be claimed when the deposited amount has settled into client’s account. Depending on the deposit method, funds may take up to 5 (five) business days to settle.

This means, if a client transfers a $500 account on a Monday, and then a $1500 account on a Tuesday, even though it adds up to $2000, they will still NOT be reimbursed, reason being that we only count the value of the first account transfer. Questions about account transfer? Please reach out to us via the HELP CENTER if you need any other clarification.
  10. Once a client has successfully transferred their non-Webull brokerage account to us, they will be required to submit proofs for the reimbursement. Message to the Force on September 11

Soldiers, Civilians, Family members and Soldiers for Life:

Twenty years ago, the world as we knew it changed on 9/11. For those who lived through that day, the feelings of fear, pain, and anger will never be forgotten. Every September 11th since, we remember the acts of bravery and sheer determination that followed.

There are amazing stories of true courage, sacrifice, and commitment to preserve life, honor the fallen, and to defend our Nation and our American way of life. These stories inspired thousands of Americans to raise their right hand, and say "send me" during a time of war.

On this 9/11, we pay tribute to those who served, especially those who gave all, in defense of our Nation. We remember our Gold Star Families, and we honor them for their commitment and their sacrifice.

On behalf of a grateful Army and Nation, thank you. It is an honor to serve among heroes like you.

Letter to the Force - September 11th - 20 Year Anniversary

To the Soldiers, Airmen, and Families of the National Guard

There are nearly 3,000 names engraved in bronze at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City.  They are firefighters and policemen, airline pilots and caterers, retirees and children, Soldiers and Sailors, and many others.  Their names represent the lives cut short by an unprecedented act of terror in our homeland.

It has been twenty years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.  It has been twenty years since sons, daughters, husbands, and wives called home for the last time to say—more than anything else— “I love you.”

As we remember, honor, and mourn those we lost, we must never forget the heroism and courage demonstrated that day.  The first responders who selflessly rushed into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.  The ordinary men and women who came to the aid of others.  The courageous passengers of United flight 93 who fought back against their hijackers.

In our collective shock and grief, we grew stronger.  Countless Americans resolved to help in any way they could, from donating blood to joining our Armed Forces.  We vowed to never forget, and we have kept that promise.

The names engraved in bronze live on with the survivors they left behind, and in us.  They are an eternal part of our American story.  Today, we rededicate ourselves to the memory of those who served and sacrificed for the promise of a stronger America, and our promise to remain Always Ready, Always There.

Sincerely,

     a. ALARACT 068_2021, SERGEANT/STAFF SERGEANT PROMOTION BOARD GUIDANCE (CUI), DTG: R 031731Z SEP 21. This message applies to the Regular Army and the United States Army Reserve Active Guard Reserve. This is a reissuance of previous guidance pending publication of an updated regulation. To reinforce team and squad leader understanding of how our army cares for its Soldiers, promotion to sergeant and staff sergeant will include situational questions in the areas of sexual harassment, suicide prevention, misuse of drugs and alcohol, physical and mental fitness, failure to attend a noncommissioned officer professional development system course, and a subordinate’s decision to reenlist. The purpose of these questions is not to have Soldiers appearing before the board quote back army regulations pertaining to these subjects, but to provide the board an assessment of how that individual would react with their soldiers when leading them through these issues and questions. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-1047147
