ALARACT 057/2022, SEMIMONTHLY (TWICE PER MONTH) PAY SYSTEM (CUI), DTG: R 122053Z AUG 22. The Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) will modernize Army Human Resources and improve our processes through transparency and mobile capabilities. However, as the Army works to modernize its military pay system and reassume the military pay mission back from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, we have decided to implement certain measures ahead of IPPS-A in an effort to lessen the impact on the field during the transition. One such measure is to mandate the semimonthly pay schedule, which is also mandated in IPPS-A. Effective 30 September 2022, the Army will automatically transition all Soldiers currently paid once per month to the semimonthly pay system. Soldiers affected by this change will receive their final full end of month pay for September 2022, on Friday, 30 September 2022. Soldiers will receive their first mid-month pay (mid-month October) on Friday, 14 October 2022. The second half of the Soldier’s October 2022 pay will be deposited on Friday, 1 November 2022. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-1179237      c.
