This message provides clarification on Official Army Photo usage and Army Military Human Resource Record (AMHRR), Records Management Application (RMA), interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS) filing requirements. Official Army photos consist of the DA Photo and the Command Photo. The DA Photo is taken in the prescribed dress uniform and filed in the iPERMS to achieve the AMHRR requirement. The photo is moved to the Service folder for permanent filing upon separation from service. The requirement to take a DA Photo, including General Officer (GO) photo, has not changed.
