1. NCO EVALUATION BOARD LEADER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (LPD) SLIDES (AS OF 19 JULY 2021). From the DA Secretariat SGM: Here are the most recent LPD slides on the NCO Evaluation Board process. This is the slide deck I use to brief the process to the field. I hope this gives clarity on how we conduct the NCO Evaluation Boards. 2. ADMINISTRATIVE REVISION OF AR 600-8-4, LINE OF DUTY POLICY, PROCEDURES, AND INVESTIGATIONS, DATED 25 JUL 21, AND NEW DA FORM 2173.  Army G-1 Medical Policy Branch has asked that we inform the field that an admin revision of AR 600-8-24 and a new DA Form 2173, Statement of Medical Examination and Duty Status, are posted on APD, and at the following link on S1NET.

3. IPPS-A WEBINAR SERIES: INTRODUCTION TO PROFILE MANAGEMENT – 04 AUG 2021. Attached is the CONOP for the IPPS-A Introduction to Profile Management webinar. During this session, the IPPS-A Team will introduce how to access and use profile management capabilities within Release 3 IPPS-A to maintain Member data. Planned demonstrations include person profile orientation, update methods (e.g., Personnel Action Request, direct entry), and review of self-professed elements.

4. THREE TIPS FOR HOW TO BE A MORE PROSOCIAL PERSON. From the Army Resilience Directorate: According to researchers, prosocial behavior is the “willingness to do things to benefit others, potentially with no benefit to ourselves.” It’s essential to high-functioning teams and to society in general. By understanding how to be more aware that people need help, taking responsibility to provide that help, and having a plan for how to help, you can be a more prosocial person that takes care of others in need.

     b. MILPER MESSAGE 21-272, FY 2022 ARMY-UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY (UK) MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK (MSW) PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCEDURES, ISSUED: [7/28/2021 1:57:22 PM]. This message solicits applications for the FY 2022 Army-University of Kentucky (UK) Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the Army Medical Department Center & School (AMEDDC&S), Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX. Applicants must meet general eligibility requirements of AR 601-100, AR 135-100, and AR 135-101 as appropriate.

     c. MILPER MESSAGE 21-273, THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE UNIVERSITY (NIU) MASTER OF SCIENCE OF STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE (MSSI) AND MASTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INTELLIGENCE (MSTI) PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022 (FY22) ANNOUNCEMENT, ISSUED: [7/28/2021 2:15:46 PM]. This full-time programs coursework is designed to prepare students for a higher level of responsibility in the Intelligence Community. Basic eligibility criteria is Active Duty Soldiers with a PMOS in Career Management Field (CMF) 35 and rank of SGT promotable through MSG non-promotable.

     d. MILPER MESSAGE 21-274, THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE UNIVERSITY (NIU) BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INTELLIGENCE (BSI) FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022 (FY22) ANNOUNCEMENT, ISSUED: [7/28/2021 2:20:22 PM]. The Bachelor of Science in Intelligence (BSI) is a fourth-year program that affords students who have completed three years of undergraduate study a way to earn their undergraduate degree in Intelligence. Basic eligibility criteria is Active Duty Soldiers with a PMOS in Career Management Field (CMF) 35 and rank of SGT through MSG non-promotable.

     e. MILPER MESSAGE 21-275, ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR RESERVE COMPONENT OFFICERS REQUESTING TO DEFER PROMOTION CONSIDERATION (OPT OUT), ISSUED: [7/29/2021 8:30:13 AM]. This message explains the administrative procedures required and outcomes produced for Reserve Component (RC) officers who request to defer consideration by a Promotion Selection Board (PSB) Opt Out of a PSB. Prior to each PSB, the Army Human Resources Command (HRC) will publish instructions that specifically describe the eligibility criteria to request to opt out for that board, either as part of the routine board message, or as a stand-alone message. An officer may opt out two times per grade. This MILPER message pertains to RC (ARNG and USAR) officers only.

     f. MILPER MESSAGE 21-276, 75TH RANGER REGIMENT FIELD GRADE OFFICER RANGER ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION PROGRAM (FIELD GRADE RASP), ISSUED: [7/29/2021 1:50:42 PM]. This message is to inform Active Duty promotable Captains and Majors about the unique opportunity to attend the Field Grade Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (FG RASP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, from 7-11 October 2021 to compete for assignment to the 75th Ranger Regiment. The 75th Ranger Regiment will assess Active Duty promotable Captains and Majors who are seeking to serve in Key Developmental (KD) or Post-KD broadening assignments. Eligible Officers must be in Year Groups 2007-2011.

     a. VIEWING AAA-234s. “We recently got new computers and since the change we are no longer able to open the AAA-234. We are able to download the files, however, when we try to open the file with the AAA-234 PDF, we don't get the "trust this time" option, just the "enable all features" which doesn't allow us to view the actual generated PDF. The IT department has tried to uninstall and reinstall Adobe, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Does anyone have any idea on how we can fix this?”

9. FORSCOM WIAS POSITIONS (UPDATED A/O 9 JUL 21). Hot openings listed at the following link.   

     a. Three positions for Psychological Operations officers and NCOs in support of CJTF-OIR Combined Joint Effects. Positions are for a MISO Chief, MISO Planner, and MISO OPS. Interested service members must be 37A / O3-O6 or 37F / E4-E7 with TS/SCI clearances. Location: Arifjan, Kuwait.

     b. One position for Joint Personnel Recovery Center Deputy Director in support of CENTCOM AOR to include OIF, OEF, and CJTF-HOA.  Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) on tactics, language, and culture relating to PR operations.  Must be O3/O4 with TS/SCI clearance. Location: Qatar.

     c. Two positions for Ops Officers, 11A and O2A O4.  Lead the development of crisis action, intermediate and long range plans. Interact with all elements of the TF (maneuver, fires, intelligence, logistics) and able to take their inputs to develop future concepts of operations and supporting orders.  Location: Ft. Bragg.

     d. One position for MOS/AOC: 70K - HEALTH SERVICES MATERIEL; Timeframe: o/a  01NOV21; Tour Length: 365 days/BOG; PME Requirements: ILE complete. Location:  Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
