1. TAG SENDS: IPPS-A, AWARDS, LOD, AND TAP. From BG Gregory S. Johnson, The Adjutant General:  Your hard work is evident as IPPS-A Brownout/Cutover commenced with minimal issues.  A lot to do before IPPS-A Go Live.  Keep working on IPPS-A Training, reviewing IPPS-A training videos, and reviewing the Army-Wide IPPS-A Exercise videos on milsuite so you are fully prepared when IPPS-A becomes our new system of record.  This is an exciting and historical moment in our AG History! A lot of other things happening around the AG Corps as well.  Five topic updates this month.  IPPS-A Brownout/Cutover updates, IPPS-A Service Center, Afghanistan Retrograde MUC/PUC Update, Line of Duty and Fatal Incident Brief Information, and The Transition Assistance Program (TAP). 2. SELECTION OF NEW HQDA, G1 DIRECTOR OF MILITARY PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT (DMPM) SGM. From the Army G-1 SGM, SGM Mark Clark: "On behalf of the Sergeant Major of the Army, we are pleased to announce that Sergeant Major Jonathan A. Uribe-Huitron, Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), G1 SGM, Redstone Arsenal, AL, has been selected as the Sergeant Major, HQDA, G1 DMPM, Pentagon, VA. The June 2020 AR 600-8-10 includes holiday connected leave & pass explanations covered in previous MILPERs. I have attached (at the following link) my holiday leave/pass notes for 2022-23 as a guide.” 4. RESCISSION OF ARMY MEMORIAL PROGRAM MORATORIUM, 8 NOV 22. From HRC Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Division (CMAOD):  The Assistant Secretary of the Army, (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) Principal Officials’ Guidance (POG) memo: Rescission of Army Memorial Program Moratorium, dated 8 Nov 2022, has been posted to the APD Website, and the POG titled: Army Memorial Program Moratorium, dated 19 Apr 2021, has been rescinded. 5. NON-DEPLOYABLE (ND) REPORT AS OF EOM OCT 22. As of EoM Oct 22, ~62.7K or ~6.5% of the Total Army was considered Non-Deployable; Army Non-Deployable rate increased by ~0.1% from Sep 22. 6. From US Army Combined Arms Center:  The Army Leader Exchange (ALx) provides professional development content to help steward the Army profession by engaging and informing leaders. The November 2022 bulletin was recently published and includes tips for transitioning into a new job, elements of team cohesion, human performance resources, and more. 8. MENTORING BEST PRACTICES. From ARCG Career Management Office:  This guide from the US Office of Personnel Management helps define what a mentor is, types of mentors, developing a mentorship program, and other mentoring best practices. 9.
