1. ARMY DIRECTIVE 2023-06, ARMY BASIC NEEDS ALLOWANCE PROGRAM, 27 FEB 23. This directive establishes policies and procedures and assigns responsibilities for the Army's Basic Needs Allowance (BNA) Program. The BNA is an allowance for Soldiers with at least one dependent whose income falls below Federal poverty guidelines. It promotes economic security for Soldiers and their Families by providing financially challenged and eligible Soldiers a supplemental allowance. Effective immediately, Soldiers will be screened for BNA eligibility, and applications for the BNA will be processed through the Soldier's chain of command. HRC OPMD will run the FY24 CCC Preference Market in AIM 2.0 for select Branches from 03 APRIL 22 – 05 MAY 22. These branches include: AD, AR, CM, EN, FA, IN, MI, MP and SC. Participating officers should confirm desired course attendance with their Chain of Command, in conjunction with operational requirements, prior to submitting preferences. 3. ARMY TALENT MANAGEMENT TASK FORCE (ATMTF) SITREP, 24 FEB 23. In this edition: Career Courses’ Cognitive Assessment Battery – Revised (C3AB-R), Army University 2nd QTR PME Subcommittee Working Group, Sergeant Major Course Assessment Program (SMC-AP), and Talent Based Career Alignment (TBCA). 4. REGULAR ARMY NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICER SLC AND MLC SCHEDULING AS OF JANUARY 2023. From HRC Military Schools Branch: To provide transparency and manage expectations, Military Schools Branch releases monthly statistics of Soldiers scheduled for SLC by Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and the Evaluation Board Order of Merit List (OML). These numbers reflect the last OML number that has been used to schedule a Soldier in January 2023 by MOS. 5.  IPPS-A ITEMS.      a. UPCOMING IPPS-A LIVE TRAINING - MARCH 2023. ARMY RESERVE PAY MESSAGE 23-07, INCREASE IN MAXIMUM SGLI COVERAGE. Maximum SGLI coverage has increased from $400,000 to $500,000 for all Service members, including those Service members who previously declined or reduced coverage.  By law, all eligible Service members will have their coverage increased to the new maximum when the increase in coverage occurs.  This is to ensure that all Service members can obtain the new maximum coverage without any medical underwriting. All Service members will be automatically insured for $500,000 unless they opt out or elect a lesser coverage amount.      b. MILITARY PAY E-MESSAGE # 23-008, SUBJECT: DJMS-AC APRIL 2023 PRODUCTION SCHEDULE.
