4. PRACTICE MENTAL AGILITY TO COPE WITH ADVERSITY AND THRIVE. From the Army Resiliency Directorate: Stress triggers thoughts in the mind and causes physical reactions in the body, such as fight or flight and shutdown. Mental agility enhances the ways you respond to stress and helps you to reason critically while keeping your mind open to multiple options. What’s more, mental agility allows you to make your thoughts and emotions work for you, not against you, during challenging tactical, physical or work-related events. You can quickly isolate a problem and identify solutions, enabling you to take the initiative and adjust to change. This video provides a demonstration on how to combine multiple subject area columns into one using the concatenate function. Concatenate joins two or more strings (values) into one string value. Strickland Educational Leadership Award (SELA) is a non – federal award of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). This award honors the memory of Sergeant Major (SGM) Larry L. Strickland (Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Army Personnel SGM). A victim of the September 11th terrorist attack on the Pentagon, he represents all Soldiers and Civilians lost in the Global War on Terrorism. Nominees must be in the ranks of ‘SSG through CSM and SGM currently serving on active duty (active component (AC) and active guard Reserve (AGR)).
