Memo from the Army G-9:  Effective 14 December 2024, the renewal of the exception to policy (ETP) is granted to the AR 420-1, para. 3-20k’s prohibition on garrison commanders authorizing single Soldiers in the grade of E-6 (SSG) permanently assigned to Europe-based units to reside off post.
