S1NET Message Summary - 22 Jun 21

 1. (CORRECTION) ARMY 365 EMAIL AND YOUR MILSUITE ACCOUNT. In the last S1NET message we advised members of the process to change the email in their milSuite account when they transition to Army 365 email. However, we have been advised by the HQDA CIO/G6 that they do not want users to make the change yet.  Do not update email or certs until directed by Army DA G6 with an approved process.

2. IPPS-A WEBINAR SERIES: PARS AND ADDITIONAL REQUESTS – 23 JUN 2021. Attached is the CONOP for the IPPS-A PAR and Additional Requests webinar. During this session, the IPPS-A Team will introduce Personnel Action Requests and other in-system requests that Members, HR Professionals, and leaders may submit and process within the system. Planned demonstrations include accessing and processing submitted requests.

3. FRAGORD 001 to OPORD 21-013, USARC IPPS-A FIELDING INTEGRATION STRATEGY, 142024Z JUN 2021. Mission: (RESTATED) The USAR trains, fields, and implements IPPS-A Release 3 no later than 21 December 2021. See the FRAGORD for updates to the base OPORD.

4. SUSPENSION OF REMOVAL FOR MAXIMUM YEARS OF SERVICE (MYOS) FOR U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR) TROOP PROGRAM UNIT (TPU) SOLDIERS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF E-9S, 2 JUN 21. In accordance with AR 140-10, paragraph 7-2m(3), suspension of the removal of USAR TPU Soldiers for MYOS, except for the E-9 population, remains in effect until further notice based on maintaining the continuation of the National Emergency with respect to certain Terrorist Attacks. This policy applies to unit Soldiers who have completed 20-years of qualifying service for retired pay. Although a Soldier has completed the maximum years of service, the Soldier will not be removed from a TPU under this policy unless he or she has received the official letter of notification to receive retired pay at age 60.

     a. ALARACT 054/2021, ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE 2020 U.S. ARMY AWARD FOR PETROLEUM EXCELLENCE PROGRAM WINNERS (CUI), DTG: R 171708Z JUN 21. The purpose of the U.S. Army Award for Petroleum Excellence is to enhance petroleum readiness and staff operations effectiveness by identifying and recognizing excellence in petroleum management and fuel handling within the U.S. Army. This program provides positive incentive for superior contributions to Army petroleum operations and the DoD fuel support mission while enhancing awareness and strict adherence to petroleum operations guidelines and contributes to morale and esprit de corps within the Army Petroleum Community.

     b. ALARACT 055/2021, IMPLEMENTATION OF REVISED DD FORM 2981 (BASIC CRIMINAL HISTORY AND STATEMENT OF ADMISSION (CUI), DTG: R 211755Z JUN 21. The purpose of this message is to announce use of DD Form 2981 for all individuals who work or volunteer in Army child, youth, and school services programs.

     c. ALARACT 056/2021, WEAR OF THE FULL-COLOR SHOULDER SLEEVE INSIGNIA ON THE ARMY COMBAT UNIFORM AND IMPROVED HOT WEATHER COMBAT UNIFORM (CUI), DTG: R 211815Z JUN 21. This message provides instruction on wearing the full-color shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) on the army combat uniform (ACU) and improved hot weather combat uniform (IHWCU). Brigade level commanders may authorize the wear of the full-color SSI on the ACU and IHWCU for special occasions such as, but not limited to commemoration ceremonies or changes of command/responsibility. The full-color SSI will not be worn outside of the area where ceremony or special event is being conducted.

MILPER MESSAGE 21-220, RELEASE OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022 (AY2022) AMEDD-4 (ARMY NURSE (AN), MEDICAL SERVICE (MS), ARMY MEDICAL SPECIALIST (SP), AND VETERINARY (VC)) CORPS LONG TERM HEALTH EDUCATION AND TRAINING (LTHET) PROGRAM AND AMEDD RAND ARROYO FELLOWSHIP SELECTION PANEL RESULTS, ISSUED: [6/21/2021 11:11:48 AM]. This message announces the release of the AY2022 AMEDD-4 Corps LTHET and RAND Arroyo Fellowship Selection Panel Results. The official release date is on or about 30 Jun 21.

7. S1NET MEMBER REQUESTS. The following S1NET member requests/questions are pending.  If you can assist, please do so. 

     a. LHI MASS EVENTS. “I have inquired with LHI whether they will be restarting unit mass events. LHI has informed me that they are able to conduct mass events for non-deploying units but there still has to be an exception to policy. Can anyone help me understand what "the exception to policy" means (in this situation), please?”
