S1NET Message Summary - 11 Aug 21

1. 2021 AG CORPS NATIONAL BALL AND HALL OF FAME (HOF) AND DISTINGUISHED MEMBERS OF THE CORPS (DMOC) CEREMONY. From COL Marcus Motley, the Chief of the AG Corps: "Due to newly released DoD guidance restricting meeting sizes and the current spike in COVID-19 infections, the 2021 AG Corps National Ball is cancelled.  Our intent is to still host the 2021 Hall of Fame (HOF) induction ceremony at 1000, on 17 September 2021 in the Soldier Support Institute auditorium. However, same as last year, this year's HOF/DMOC ceremony will be an invitation only event in order to comply with DoD guidance and social distancing limitations.  To mitigate the impact of reduced attendance, we will live-steam the ceremony via controlled access platforms. Additionally, we will film the ceremony and then post it to various websites such as the AG School Homepage.  We regret that this change was necessary and that our distinguished inductees cannot participate in an event of the scale and grandeur that we have had in the past.  However, these are unique times and we are obligated to comply with current guidance that considers the best interests of everyone involved.” https://www.milsuite.mil/book/message/951850
