1. The purpose of this message is to announce the current Training with Industry (TWI) opportunities and application instructions. This message will be updated yearly to ensure alignment with program policies and training opportunities and will expire one year from publication.


2. The TWI program is a work-experience program that provides select Regular Army noncommissioned officers’ extensive exposure to managerial techniques and industry procedures as a fellow within corporate America. The type of training Soldiers experience through program participation is normally not available through the military school system or civilian university system.


3. CONUS stationed Soldiers must meet an 18-month time-on-station requirement by the end of the TWI application window. Soldiers stationed overseas are required to complete their tour and should only apply if they are within 6 months of their DEROS or have an approved

curtailment in accordance with (IAW) AR 614-30. If selected for a TWI assignment, Soldiers DEROS dates will be extended/curtailed to allow for travel and transportation to their TWI location.
