MILPER Number: 26-097 Participant Instruction for the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Army Active Component (AC) Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC) Senior Service College (SSC) Board Zone Message

1.  This MILPER message expires NLT 10 March 2027.

2.  This message announces the Army Active Component (AC) Judge Advocate General’s Corps’ (JAGC) process to identify officers for Senior Service College (SSC) attendance. 

a.  Officers must opt into consideration for attendance at SSC. Any officer who does not opt-in will not be considered. See paragraph 5 below. 

b.  The FY26 Army AC JAGC SSC Board will designate Principal and Alternates.  The JAGC will not publish a Principal and Alternate list; however, the Principal and Alternate lists will be used to slate officers.  The Office of the Judge Advocate General (OTJAG) Talent Management Office (TMO) will identify available officers.  The Judge Advocate General (TJAG) will slate available officers to school until all allocated quotas are exhausted or the end of the Principal and Alternate lists is reached.   This ensures the best qualified and available officers attend SSC each year.

c.  The eligible population has shifted to include more junior Lieutenant Colonels. See para 6 for further details.

AUTHORIZED DEPENDENT WAS TRANSPORTED ON GOVERNMENT ORDERS
WHEN AUTHORIZED BY THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY.
