S1NET Message Summary - 27 May 21

Memorial Day, 31 May 21, historical perspective from the SSI Command Historian at https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-990286.  Remember our fallen, and be safe during the holiday.

1. TEMPORARY PROMOTION (SERGEANT MAJOR) (CHANGE 1), 24 MAY 21.  Memo from the Army G-1: Effective the July 2021 promotion month, I am modifying how RA and USAR Soldiers enrolled in a non-resident portion of the Sergeants Major Course (SMC) following graduation of the corresponding resident course, are promoted to the rank of Sergeant Major. Selection for promotion will be equally applied to both graduates and students enrolled in any non-traditional SMC training path without regard to PME completion. Upon selection, Human Resources Command (RA and USAR AGR) and the US Army Reserve Command (USAR less AGR) will determine if the selected Soldier is an enrolled student, but not yet a graduate of the SMC. In those instances when a nongraduate making satisfactory progress in the course has been selected, that promotion will be applied as a temporary promotion. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-988995

6. SOCIAL RESILIENCE IS A CORNERSTONE OF PERSONAL RESILIENCE.
