The annual United States Army Reserve (USAR) Troop Program Unit (TPU) / Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) Sergeant Major (SGM) / Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Noncommissioned (NCO) Evaluation Board is scheduled to convene at the 63d Readiness Division, 230 RT Jones Road, Mountain View, CA on or about 3 August 2026. This board will evaluate the performance and potential of all eligible CSMs and SGMs and selected Master Sergeants (MSG) / First Sergeants (1SG) currently enrolled in the U.S. Army SGM Academy (USASMA) within the zone of consideration whose records are serviced by any of the four Readiness Divisions (RD), the 1st Mission Support Command (MSC), 7th MSC, or 9th MSC. Soldiers will be evaluated in their primary military occupational specialty (PMOS) for the purpose of creating an Order of Merit List (OML) to inform multiple merit-based decisions to include selection for assignments and appointment to CSM positions.
a. This message contains information pertaining to CSM, SGM, and graduates/students of the Sergeant Major Course (SGM-C), Class 77 (Non-Resident Class 53 and earlier). Class 77 will carry over their OML from the FY25 MSG/1SG evaluation board.
