The purpose of this message is to provide clarification of the Military Parental Leave Program (MPLP) Implementation guidance for requesting and approving leave using the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) to request MPLP Absences. Additionally, this is an extension of MILPER 24-274 until changes to the MPLP are reflected in AR 600-8-10.
