1. FINAL COMMANDANT SENDS FROM THE 36TH AGS COMMANDANT, COL CHESLEY D. THIGPEN.
I'm immensely grateful to have served alongside each of you
over the last three years as your 36th Commandant of the AG School and
Chief of the Corps. I have been incredibly blessed to cross paths with
talented AG Soldiers at every echelon and equally impressed with your
focus on making our Corps better every day.
I would especially like to recognize the Soldier Support Institute leadership teams for their partnership and agile teamwork over the past few years. Our instructors, developers and cadre remain resilient and determined to provide the best, most effective training available to our students while our proponent team is critical to shaping the future of our AG Corps across all war-fighting functional domains. In the midst of implementing a new HR system, adding Data Education, redesigning our CTE for LSCO, executing increased Postal training requirements, the AG Team delivered two new Talent Acquisition MOSs for the Army. A phenomenal transformational effort only accomplished through vision and teamwork.
This past June we celebrated a spectacular week as AG professionals in our 250th year of our Corps and we continue to connect with past warriors and inspire the future. Our Army Bands led the way and the highlight of the Army's 250th Anniversary Parade. I've had the fortune of witnessing a team of teams interconnected across all components, all ranks, and all echelons of our Army from small units to the Army HR enterprise. I'm equally impressed with the support of our retired and veteran AG community which remains robust and active as a professional regimental association. It's incredible to experience the synergy of our AG Corps in action.
Lastly, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our future 37th Commandant, Colonel Arron Lummer and his Family. Colonel Lummer is an extremely talented leader and uniquely qualified to lead our Corps to the next level. Along with the Regimental Command Sergeant Major CSM Jasmine Young and Chief Warrant Officer of the Corps, CW5 Michael Falton, we should all be inspired as these leaders guide a path to the future.
I humbly thank you for allowing me to serve as your Commandant. I will forever be proud to Defend and Serve!
